In June, 2010, Gordon Ryan launched a new contest through his author blog and this website.  Called the Chapter One Contest, Gordon will accept writing submissions from prospective authors throughout the month, review them, and pick one as that month's winner.  The winning submission each month will be highlighted on this website.

The prize each month will be a copy of your choice of one of Gordon's novels, in any chosen e-book format from Smashwords.
 
In addition, the author is offering a weekly discount on one of his selected e-book novels.  Visit Smashwords (link to the left) to choose your desired novel, and then email the author for details and discount code.
